About the Role
Application Engineer for fire-rated ducts, VAVs, and dampers, supporting the sales team by reviewing technical aspects of inquiries, RFQs, and tenders. This role involves recommending cost-effective product solutions, evaluating value engineering options, and providing technical clarification for installation and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Perform heat load calculations and design when a customer-provided schedule is not available.
- Select equipment, estimate costs, and prepare quotations.
- Follow up on quotations.
- Prepare technical submittals.
- Prepare order estimation sheets and obtain approval from the Sales Manager/Sr. Manager.
- Prepare project files and hand them over to the Sales Coordinator.
- Select fan models and quote based on price lists and cost sheets, gathering specifications from contractors based on customer and equipment schedule specifications.
- Prepare submittals based on contract specifications and submit them to the contractor/consultant for approval.
- Send order acknowledgements to customers.
Requirements
- Prepare BOQs and quotations.
- Possess excellent command of MS Excel.
- Support the sales team in reviewing inquiries, RFQs, and tenders from a technical standpoint.
- Provide clarification to project managers and site teams on installation and commissioning requirements of Dampers.
- Recommend cost-effective product solutions while maintaining compliance with project specifications.
- Evaluate value engineering options without compromising safety or performance.
- Possess knowledge of export projects and coordination with clients and production.
