AIUC is building standards and insurance for frontier AI, aiming to underwrite superintelligence. This role is crucial for establishing AIUC as a trusted entity in the AI space, similar to how Underwriters Laboratories (UL) built trust in electrical products.
Responsibilities
- Insource and own core operations, including vendor management, legal, and HR.
- Centralize spend and financial controls, consolidating vendors and establishing clear financial visibility.
- Support recruiting and people operations to facilitate team growth.
- Manage strategic finance and reporting, including board reporting and financial planning.
- Drive organizational efficiency by identifying and resolving inefficiencies and implementing structured systems.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience, ideally in operations at a high-growth startup or as a generalist in consulting, finance, or operations.
- Proven ability to learn operations quickly.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Obsessive about efficiency and possess a relentless work ethic.
- Ability to reason from first principles and develop concrete plans from a blank page.
- Capacity to execute plans effectively.
- Ability to move with urgency and communicate with structure.
- Satisfaction derived from enabling others and ensuring seamless operations.
