About the Role
This Associate will work in a production environment, providing interpretation and translation services between English and Spanish-speaking Associates. The role also involves training new Associates and serving as a backup in production when interpretation services are not needed.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and/or translate verbal or written statements between English and Spanish-speaking Associates.
- Prepare new Associates for the production floor through hands-on training.
- Serve as an interpreter and/or translator for daily communications between Associates and People Services representatives or supervisors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality during interpretation of sensitive situations.
- Provide backup support in Production when interpretation and/or translation services are not needed.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift (approximately 8-10 hours).
- Ability to use tools such as measuring tools, screwdrivers, picks, grinders, and computers.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
