About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to manage daily tasks, work with computer-based programs, read blueprints, and work from a printed list. This role involves significant physical activity, indoor and outdoor work, and a willingness to learn and grow. The candidate will be responsible for overall building repairs and serve as a backup for forklift operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction-type jobs.
- Build and repair office cubicles.
- Conduct minor building structure repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Repair doors and windows.
- Repair and clean restrooms and drains.
- Repair dock weather shelters.
- Complete painting projects.
- Change light bulbs in offices.
- Repair and install signs, shelving, and office furniture.
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance on floors, walls, ceiling tiles, and roofs.
- Perform concrete patch and finish work.
- Work from ladders, scissor lifts, and man lifts for various tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift (approximately 8-10 hours).
- Ability to use power tools including saws, drills, table saw, concrete saw, and hammer drills.
- Must be willing to start early, work late, and work some Saturdays as needed for overtime.
- Previous building or construction experience is preferred.
