About the Role
The OTR position is a team-based position where you will be delivering products safely, accurately, and timely to company-owned branch locations on a weekly dedicated schedule. As a Jump Seat Driver, you will be guaranteed 2,100 miles/week with a $.06/mile premium, have a flexible schedule, and drive different routes. Drivers will log their time using an ELD (Electronic Logging Device). A sense of urgency and attention to detail are key components of the OTR position.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely, accurately, and timely to company-owned branch locations.
- Unload product by forklift at branch locations.
- Load core product for the return trip to Distribution.
- Confirm the accuracy of paperwork at each branch location.
- Log time using an ELD (Electronic Logging Device).
Requirements
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical/Background Check & Drug Screen.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to use handheld tools such as a tablet & GPS.
- Possessing a Class A CDL is a requirement; however, a current CDL is not required to apply.
- JASPER can sponsor the right candidate to fully pay for CDL-A training and License.
