About the Role
A boutique NYC architectural & interior design practice seeks a self-motivated, creative INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR ARCHITECT with a history of 5 years minimum experience, preferably related to high-end corporate interiors. The role involves working intimately with Principals and the design team to plan, design, prepare construction sets, and client presentation materials.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, prepare construction sets & client presentation materials that meet the aesthetic of each unique project requirements.
- Prepare presentation materials for in-house and on-site meetings.
- Schematic design.
- Construction documentation.
- Construction administration.
- Site survey.
- Prepare design documents & client presentation materials that meet the aesthetic of each unique project’s requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of preparation of Construction Documents.
- Basic knowledge of ADA and Building Codes.
- Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques.
- Understanding of finishes and applications.
- Resourceful and ability and willingness to find creative solutions.
Requirements
- Min. 5 years of related professional experience preferably related to corporate interiors.
- Collaborative and professional work ethic.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to successfully communicate with architects, Clients, vendors, and fellow team members.
- Strong sense of design aesthetic, with a willingness to present and be receptive to team and client feedback.
- Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and understanding of design, trends, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
