About the Role
Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking customer-oriented, motivated individuals to join their professional team. This role is crucial for maintaining equipment and ensuring smooth operations within the company.
Responsibilities
- Wash and clean pump and power equipment upon return.
- Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay.
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
- Operate a heavy-duty forklift.
- Check equipment for damage upon return, report damage, and fill out service tags.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Deliver small equipment and tools as needed.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
Requirements
- Must be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.
- Valid Class G/5 driver’s license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable with working outdoors year-round.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter, customer-service oriented, and works well in a team environment.
- Curiosity to learn new things and understand construction equipment and the rental industry.
- Comfortable with computers/technology for inspections and inventory management.
Skills
- Forklift license or experience operating forklifts is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and/or previous experience operating equipment is an asset.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, shipping/receiving, and warehouse best practices is an asset.
