About the Role
This is a fully funded postdoctoral fellowship available to investigate the roles of critical metabolites and their genetic effectors in hematopoietic malignancies and develop novel therapeutic strategies.
Responsibilities
- Systematically uncover critical metabolites and their genetic effectors, including receptors and metabolic enzymes.
- Reveal mechanistic insights of hematologic malignancies.
- Identify key drug targets for hematologic malignancies.
- Understand how environmental signals such as diets and nervous system activities modulate blood cell development and cancers.
- Build innovative therapeutics to treat hematopoietic malignancies that are currently without effective therapeutic options.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD in biomedical sciences.
- Strong research backgrounds in molecular and cellular biology, animal model and cancer research.
- Experiences with flow cytometry and metabolomics analysis or optogenetics and fiber photometry.
