About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager at 7shifts, you will own a product used daily by tens of thousands of restaurants for team management and operations. You will report to the Sr Director of Product and collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered features that enhance restaurant operations and user value. You will manage a product with a strong foundation and a large user base, while monitoring industry trends and making strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Set and maintain the roadmap by integrating customer research, business priorities, and market signals into actionable work.
- Conduct end-to-end product discovery, including customer interviews, data analysis, and problem identification to develop testable solutions.
- Ship AI features that address operator and employee needs, collaborating with Engineering and Design.
- Utilize AI in personal workflows to streamline discovery, analyze feedback, and accelerate PRD writing.
- Define success metrics before development, validate assumptions, measure post-launch results, and inform future product iterations.
- Align GTM, executives, Engineering, Design, and Data teams around a shared product direction and manage tradeoffs effectively.
- Partner with Product Marketing on launches and positioning to ensure effective product adoption.
Requirements
- Experience owning a scaled product with millions of active users, focusing on iteration and innovation.
- Proven experience shipping an AI feature to production, with the ability to discuss its successes and failures.
- Daily use of AI as a tool for synthesis, discovery, and workflow automation, with a knack for identifying AI-driven product opportunities.
- Working knowledge of LLMs, understanding their capabilities and limitations for designing effective AI features.
- An evaluation mindset to define and measure the success of AI features before and after launch.
- Technical depth and data skills, including the ability to read specs, weigh build complexity with Engineering, and perform data analysis with SQL.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly on high-visibility products with diverse stakeholder opinions.
