About the Role
The Machine Operator I is responsible for operating machinery such as the cherry picker and stock chaser for restocking, retrieving, and reviewing inventory. This role involves delivering product for processing and shipment, and performing quality control assessments.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately retrieve and stage product according to company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
- Operate machinery including the cherry picker, pallet jacks, and stock chasers (requires certification).
- Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, & efficiency.
- Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages to supervisor.
- Perform inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Distribution Center.
- Follow all SOPs, safety rules, and regulations.
- Act professionally and remain focused, contributing to a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned and be willing to cross-train.
- Be responsible for any additional duties assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
- Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
- Must be flexible with start and departure time changes.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
