About the Role
Sprig is seeking a Lead Product Manager, Core to own the survey capabilities and workflows at the heart of the company. This role involves expanding customer capabilities within Sprig, making sophisticated workflows intuitive and reliable. You will report directly to the CEO and partner with engineering, design, fellow product managers, and go-to-market teams, driving product decisions independently.
Responsibilities
- Set direction for your product area by combining customer research, usage data, and competitive insight to identify valuable problems and build a focused roadmap.
- Build with customers by working directly with enterprise customers and prospects to understand workflows, validate solutions, and distinguish broadly valuable capabilities from one-off requests.
- Make decisive tradeoffs to prioritize work that improves adoption, supports new contracts and expansion, or strengthens retention, balancing customer commitments with long-term product differentiation.
- Lead execution from discovery through launch by writing clear product requirements, defining manageable releases, resolving dependencies, and partnering with design and engineering to deliver quickly without compromising quality.
- Own the outcome after launch by defining success before development, partnering with go-to-market teams on rollout, and using adoption data and customer feedback to improve shipped products.
- Raise the quality of product decisions by making complex workflows intuitive, communicating the reasoning behind priorities, and helping teams move forward with a shared understanding of the customer and the goal.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience, including ownership of B2B SaaS products from discovery through launch and adoption.
- Experience shipping enterprise capabilities that measurably improved adoption, supported expansion, or strengthened retention.
- A track record of leading ambiguous initiatives with limited day-to-day guidance, making consequential prioritization decisions, resolving cross-functional dependencies, and delivering results.
- Evidence of simplifying complex workflows by partnering with design and engineering to ship intuitive experiences and using customer feedback or usage data to demonstrate improvement.
- Clear communication and constructive leadership skills, including explaining decisions and tradeoffs, building alignment across functions, and challenging assumptions with evidence and sound reasoning.
- Fluency in customer research and product analytics, using qualitative and quantitative evidence to identify opportunities, test assumptions, and assess release value.
- Practical AI fluency, including using AI tools to accelerate work and evaluating where AI improves customer experience, considering tradeoffs around accuracy, trust, and user control.
- Experience making product decisions under technical constraints, including tradeoffs made with engineers to reduce scope, resolve dependencies, or improve reliability while preserving customer value.
- Experience shipping AI-powered products, research tools, or products at a growing startup is a plus.
