About the Role
This role involves the disassembly of transmissions, including operating basic hand tools, cleaning parts with solvents, and verifying component tags. The process includes removing external components, internal parts like the valve body and clutch packs, and then cleaning and preparing parts for washing.
Responsibilities
- Operate basic hand tools
- Clean parts using solvents, brushes, and scrapers
- Verify the tag of the BOM matches the unit (core)
- Remove bolts, seals, and other external components from the unit
- Remove the oil pan to access internal parts
- Remove internal parts such as the valve body, pump(s), wiring harness, and clutch packs
- Clean parts using solvent
- Place parts in baskets for washing
Requirements
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand or walk an entire shift (approx. 8-10 hours)
- Ability to use handheld tools such as Impacts, Pneumatic Drills, Hammers etc.
