This role is ideal for someone considering law school and eager to build real-world experience. You will have a front-row seat to high-stakes litigation, working closely with attorneys on complex matters and developing skills beyond the classroom. - Follow established procedures and instructions to deliver high-quality work, while learning to identify resources that improve efficiency.
- Apply strong organizational skills to manage workflow, documents, and deadlines across matters, teams, and departments.
- Identify issues as they arise and collaborate with attorneys and staff to help resolve problems effectively.
- Assist in all phases of litigation—from case inception through trial or resolution—including document collection, review, and production.
- Coordinate case documents and electronic discovery, working closely with the firm’s eDiscovery Resource Management team.
- Support court filings and depositions by proofreading, cite-checking, Bluebook verification, preparing exhibits, subpoenas, and summaries.
- Contribute to factual and legal research, witness and evidence tracking, and trial preparation and logistics, including attending trial as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong academic record.
- Ability to work efficiently under direct supervision while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated sense of accountability, with the ability to take ownership of assignments from start to finish.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in written and organizational work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly as priorities shift.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys and team members.
