About the Role
At Wenzel, we are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to support multiple areas of operations. This role will oversee procurement and inventory management, communicate supply issues, track inventory, collaborate with group managers and vendors, and drive continuous improvement to streamline processes and enhance operational accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain planning and strategy to improve demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain mapping.
- Procurement and vendor management to include supplier selection, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and supplier relationship building.
- Risk management and mitigation through identification, analysis, diversification, and contingency planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete stock.
- Continuously analyze supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supply chain and logistics.
- Optimize warehouse functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in supply chain management, with a track record of successfully optimizing supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems.
