About the Role

The Client and Identity Engineering team is accountable for establishing the user identity and endpoint security infrastructure in Airbnb's corporate environment. This role will build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure systems that underpin the entire Airbnb Zero Trust ecosystem, playing a pivotal role in the execution for these critical platforms. This is an opportunity to be a part of impactful work, and contribute to the safety and trust of the Airbnb community.

Responsibilities

Work with open source products to build the next generation client platform for all Airbnb corporate endpoints.
Build on our zero trust back end suite, supporting security services, network paths, and user and device signaling, with a mind for enabling value for the business for their best work.
Support executive level Airbnb staff with endpoint and identity solutions.
Work with product and engineering teams to optimize endpoints and identity flows for Airbnb employees and partners.

Requirements

Bachelor's and/or Master/PhD's degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in test driven software development.
Extensive experience with Go, Python, or Java (Go strongly preferred).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code deployments.
Experience developing and deploying services in a Kubernetes environment.
Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work well within engineering organization and cross functions
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
