About the Role
As a Product Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution for ADAPT, our roadway and right-of-way asset management platform for public agencies. You will own the ADAPT roadmap while working closely with the engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams to deliver impactful features that drive adoption and measurable customer value.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, including deciding what not to build and when to invest in scalability and quality over new features.
- Partner with design and engineering to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
- Work with data science to define data and model output quality and measurement.
- Find where AI genuinely helps agencies, validate it with customers before building, and decide with engineering when a feature is ready to ship.
- Set the quality bar for AI features: define correct answers, when the product should state it cannot answer, and how quality is tracked in production.
- Develop features that leverage automation and AI to reduce manual effort and improve outcomes.
- Work closely with existing clients to understand their pain points and validate solutions.
- Bring enterprise needs into the roadmap: reliability, security, permissions, and administration for larger agency customers.
- Establish clear success metrics (e.g., engagement rates, conversion, time saved, adoption).
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to drive successful launches and adoption.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS or GovTech.
- Shipped customer-facing AI or LLM features to production, and can explain how quality was defined and measured.
- Owned the roadmap for a growing product, including trade-offs between new features and investment in scalability, reliability and quality.
- Experience with complex data, analytics, or AI/ML products and GovTech or another complex compliance or technical domain (healthcare, finance, security, etc.).
- Strong understanding of user workflows and building for non-technical users at scale.
- Ability to translate complex problems or client requirements into simple solutions.
- Data-driven mindset with experience defining and tracking product metrics.
- Uses AI tools day to day.
- Comfortable in a startup-style setting with lightweight structure.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams and influence without authority.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with state and local governments and/or public sector transportation.
- Geospatial or mapping product experience.
- Experience growing an AI product from first release to wide customer adoption.
