About the Role

Foundation AI is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize high-quality software solutions. You will be a key contributor to product teams, working across the full stack to deliver impactful features. This role requires strong coding fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset, and adaptability. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, secure, and maintainable software.

Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using the company’s technology stack.
Build and deliver features end-to-end in collaboration with peers and cross-functional teams.
Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and follow best practices.
Understand requirements and deliver solutions by working with designers, product managers, and QA.
Participate in agile ceremonies like sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Contribute to deployment pipelines and maintain a reliable delivery process.
Investigate and resolve issues and bugs in production and staging environments.
Maintain documentation for features, services, and key technical decisions.

Requirements

1-2 years as a software engineer, preferably full-stack.
Proficient in Python (Flask/FastAPI) and JavaScript (ES6+).
Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL or relational databases.
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ.
Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Familiarity with observability tools like ELK, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic.
Understanding of modular and scalable system design.
Ability to apply OOP and design patterns.
Familiarity with distributed system concepts.
Ability to implement unit and integration tests.
Follows TDD/BDD and ensures code quality.
Debugs moderately complex systems.
Optimizes performance and evaluates trade-offs.
Familiarity with Celery, async task processing, Kubernetes, Airflow, frontend security practices, Agile/Scrum.
Ability to read LLD/HLD documentation.
