About the Role

Tolmo builds AI security agents that run across a company's production stack. Our agents work from a live knowledge graph of code, cloud, CI, observability and security tools. We exist to close the gap between attackers weaponizing new vulnerabilities and security teams' response times for teams shipping AI-generated code at speed. You will own product design end to end, making complex security findings legible and autonomous agents trustworthy. You will set the direction for this hard, open design problem.

Responsibilities

Design the core product experience, including how findings, the knowledge graph, agent activity, and remediation are surfaced.
Take features from problem definition through research, flows, prototypes, and final UI, collaborating closely with engineering.
Run customer conversations and usability sessions, translating learnings into actionable team decisions.
Build and maintain Tolmo's design system and component library in partnership with front-end engineers.
Shape the product's communication regarding autonomous agent activity, rationale, and confidence levels.
Contribute to marketing site, onboarding, and sales materials.
Set the standard for craft and establish the design practice for future hires.

Requirements

5+ years designing software products, with at least one stretch as the sole or lead designer on a B2B or developer-facing product.
A portfolio of shipped work demonstrating the ability to create clear and fast-to-use, dense, data-heavy interfaces.
Fluency across the entire design process: discovery, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping using Figma or equivalent.
Comfort with ambiguity and speed, prioritizing shipping, learning, and revising over complete specifications.
Sufficient technical fluency to collaborate with engineers on code, cloud, and CI concepts.
Clear writing skills and a habit of explaining design decisions.
Based in, or willing to relocate to, San Francisco.
