About the Role
Monte Nido Rockland is seeking a Part Time Primary Therapist to join their multi-disciplinary treatment team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care for adults with eating disorders, aiming to restore balance and foster recovery through individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy
- Serving as liaison with families and outpatient providers
- Interacting with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management
- Participating in discharge and aftercare planning
- Providing therapeutic meal support, while modeling a healthy relationship with food
- Providing safe, empathetic, and affirming care for each client and their unique circumstance based on the clients' intersecting identities
- Supporting virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical counseling or related discipline, at minimum
- State license (or license-eligible) in a counseling field (e.g., Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPC)
- Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care is helpful
- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion practices

- Monte Nido’s treatment approach focuses on the restoration of physiological and nutritional balance, implementation of healthy eating and exercise routines, elimination of harmful behaviors, and development of motivation and treatment engagement.
