About the Role

The Head of Client Platform Technology owns the engineering, architecture, and delivery organization for the Client Platform, which is responsible for driving client engagement across the full client lifecycle. This role partners closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and differentiated capability, focusing on wealth and intermediary growth, AI-native distribution, data fabric, and marketing/servicing technology.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technology strategy for the Client Platform end to end, translating Product Owner-committed business outcomes into an architecture, platform investment plan, and delivery roadmap.
  • Act as the technology delivery counterpart to Product Owners, owning engineering, architecture, and delivery capability.
  • Lead and develop engineering, architecture, and delivery leadership across the platform.
  • Make and defend buy-versus-build recommendations across the platform's technology portfolio.
  • Build and evolve technology supporting institutional, intermediary, and wealth distribution.
  • Own the roadmap for advisor- and platform-facing capability, including model portfolio and UMA delivery, tax-aware and direct-indexed personalization at scale, and ecosystem integrations.
  • Manage implementation as the product for private markets sold into wealth-friendly vehicles.
  • Partner with distribution, sales, and client-facing business leaders to translate goals into technology investment.
  • Own an AI-native roadmap for the platform, including client intelligence, proposal automation, next-best-action prompts, and a solutions configurator.
  • Set a clear bar distinguishing AI pilots from AI capability shipped against committed business outcomes.
  • Ensure AI-native design is the default posture for new capability.
  • Build the client-centric data fabric for a single, coherent view of a client relationship.
  • Establish an internal API and event layer for automatic state change propagation.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and emerging technologies as a coherent platform capability.
  • Partner with Product Management, Product Development, and Marketing leadership to define and grow technology platforms for content, campaign, and marketing operations.
  • Partner with Client Servicing leadership to define and execute a best-in-class client servicing platform.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive capability, and client and advisor feedback.
  • Hold first-line risk and control accountability for the Client Platform's technology estate.
  • Own program-level governance across the platform's technology investment portfolio.
  • Manage vendor relationships and large-scale contract negotiations across the platform's technology stack.

Requirements

  • Results-oriented technology leader with a proven track record leading client-facing technology organizations at scale, ideally spanning both institutional and wealth/intermediary distribution.
  • Direct experience with the wealth and intermediary technology ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a technology delivery organization that partners with Product Owners on committed business outcomes.
  • Track record deploying AI as a structural capability inside client-facing workflows.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-influence skills.
