About the Role
Gallagher Bassett Canada is seeking a full-time Claims Adjuster responsible for the investigation, evaluation, disposition, and settlement of various types of losses including general liability, product liability, first-party property damage, auto, and third-party auto claims.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, disposition, and settle claims.
- Handle general liability claims.
- Handle product liability claims.
- Handle first-party property damage claims.
- Handle auto claims.
- Handle third-party auto claims.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims.
- Negotiate directly with parties to resolve claims within granted authority.
- Handle claims consistent with client and corporate policies, procedures, and 'Best Practices'.
- Handle claims in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 3 years of related claims experience.
- CIP completion or in progress with minimum courses for licensing including C11, C110, C14, C12.
- Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certification per local requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
- Computer experience with related claims and business software.
- Ability to think critically.

- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
