About the Role
Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking motivated students for its Internship Program. Interns will gain hands-on experience on major infrastructure projects, learning about construction management and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams in the field and office.
- Learn project planning, scheduling, documentation, and coordination.
- Attend site visits, safety orientations, toolbox talks, and project meetings.
- Assist in preparing reports, logs, tracking spreadsheets, and project documents.
- Understand the roles of owners, agencies, subcontractors, and vendors on public works projects.
- Develop professional skills through mentorship and practical experience.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (Engineering or Construction Management).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and collaborate within a team.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of effective time management.
- OSHA 10 is a plus, but not required.
