About the Role
Our client is hiring a founding engineer to build the core platform that powers AI agents in supply chain operations. You'll own the data pipelines, integrations, APIs, and operator console that connect AI to real-world systems. This is infrastructure work with direct impact, determining whether customers can trust their AI to handle shipments, inventory, and operations reliably.
Responsibilities
- Take customer-facing features from concept to production, including user interaction, design, development, and observation of usage.
- Design secure, auditable data models and event-driven pipelines for agent workflows.
- Develop internal and external APIs and a real-time operator console for customer visibility.
- Build first-party integrations with ERPs, 3PLs, retailers, and freight partners, and a resilient sync layer.
- Establish observability, SLOs, and on-call practices for critical workflows.
- Work across the full stack (backend, data engineering, frontend) on high-impact problems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production platforms or infrastructure at scale, preferably in startups.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Postgres, queues/streams, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Strong systems thinking and product intuition, with a focus on developer and operator experience.
- Versatility across backend, data engineering, and frontend.
- A genuine interest in complex infrastructure problems with measurable business impact.
- Must be authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship is provided.
