About the Role

We're looking for an Ecommerce Content & Merchandising Manager to ensure every product on Sous Chef is beautifully presented, easy to discover, and performing at its best. You'll combine a love of food and cooking with experience in ecommerce, SEO, and data analysis to own the online product catalogue, from launching new products to improving existing ones.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the structure and visibility of our website through SEO.
  • Take ownership of product and collection metadata, internal linking, and the ongoing improvement of our recipe and editorial content.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities, keeping the site accurate, useful, and easy to navigate.
  • Own how products are presented and organised across the website, including collection pages, product recommendations, imagery, recipes, and buying guides.
  • Use customer insight and performance data to improve merchandising and help customers find the right products.
  • Own the online launch of new products, working with the buying team to ensure everything is ready for customers.
  • Coordinate compelling imagery, engaging product descriptions, and accurate product information.
  • Set up products correctly in Shopify.
  • Analyse product and category performance, including sales, margins, conversion rates, and customer behaviour.
  • Turn findings into practical improvements to product presentation, merchandising, and the customer journey, and measure their impact.

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience in ecommerce.
  • Good understanding of SEO and how an online store works.
  • Comfortable working with data, investigating performance, and using learnings to recommend improvements.
  • Understand that great content should help customers make decisions and drive sales.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and product launches without losing track of details.
  • Enjoy creating clear processes, keeping information accurate, and ensuring work is finished to a high standard.
  • Take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Comfortable finding answers independently, asking good questions, and challenging the way things have always been done.
  • Notice opportunities to make things better and have the initiative and determination to follow them through.
