About the Role
The Principal Architect for Autonomous Vehicles will own the overarching product and technical strategy for CoreWeave's autonomous vehicle offering, shaping the roadmap across data processing, distributed training, simulation, and validation. This hands-on technical leadership role spans the full stack, from bare-metal GPU/CPU topologies to application-facing APIs and autonomous driving software ecosystems. You will partner directly with automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and autonomous vehicle developers to understand requirements, identify capability gaps, and translate platform capabilities into deployed solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the overarching product and technical strategy for CoreWeave's autonomous vehicle offering.
- Shape the roadmap across data processing, distributed training, simulation, and validation.
- Define how fleet data, sensor simulation, synthetic data generation, and closed-loop evaluation fit together into reproducible workflows.
- Balance simulation fidelity, throughput, reliability, and cost.
- Partner directly with automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and autonomous vehicle developers to understand their requirements.
- Identify capability gaps and translate platform capabilities into deployed solutions.
- Guide strategic customer engagements.
- Establish reference architectures.
- Help turn technical advances into customer adoption and commercial growth.
Requirements
- Proven track record of founding, leading, or architecting autonomous vehicle platforms, simulation systems, or AI infrastructure that reached production or commercial deployment.
- Deep understanding of autonomous driving workflows, including perception, prediction, and planning, and how data, model training, simulation, and evaluation support their development.
- Hands-on experience building distributed systems under demanding throughput, latency, reliability, and scale requirements.
- Experience designing GPU-based training or simulation platforms, with a strong understanding of compute, networking, storage, and workload orchestration.
- Familiarity with fleet data pipelines, sensor simulation, scenario generation, and closed-loop testing, including reproducibility and coverage of rare or difficult driving conditions.
- Ability to identify where existing architectures limit customer outcomes, define practical alternatives, and build alignment across engineering, research, and product teams.
- Demonstrated ability to connect system architecture with product strategy and business development, working directly with technical leaders and enterprise customers.
- Ability to bring complex autonomy and AI infrastructure challenges from initial architectural design through to commercially successful deployment.
- Curiosity about how advances in simulation, synthetic data, and AI models can accelerate the development and validation of autonomous vehicles.
- Enjoyment of working directly with customers and bringing engineering, research, and commercial teams together around a clear technical direction.
- Successful applicants offered employment will be required to complete a basic criminal record check.
- This position requires access to export controlled information.
