About the Role

We are seeking a Director or VP of Enterprise Sales to build and lead our direct enterprise business across Europe. This role is distinct from our ISV and platform sales motions and focuses on winning major European enterprises, creating a regional playbook, and building an organization for scale. The title will be calibrated to the leader's experience and scope. European enterprises require partners who understand infrastructure, connectivity, costs, and reliable deployment, especially with constraints around data residency, telecom requirements, legacy systems, procurement, and cross-border operations. The opportunity is to leverage Telnyx's unique platform, including its own network and communications stack integrated with AI and inference capabilities, to address these challenges and build durable enterprise relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a direct enterprise business across Europe.
  • Win major European enterprises.
  • Create a focused regional playbook.
  • Build the organization to scale the enterprise business.
  • Build an initial team of eight enterprise account executives, paired with field development engineers (FDEs).
  • Establish the pod model, hiring bar, management cadence, and shared technical-sales accountability.
  • Scale the team to 16 sellers when repeatable performance supports it.
  • Develop a deliberate country and account plan, prioritizing markets and industries.
  • Implement a named-account strategy and segment for scale across Europe.
  • Build relationships with country operators and central buying groups.
  • Navigate local and global stakeholders.
  • Manage complex security, legal, and procurement processes.
  • Lead with the customer's operational and economic problem, proving the architecture with FDEs.
  • Package wins into repeatable commercial plays for customer engagement, contact centers, AI agents, programmable voice and messaging, real-time network services, and AI infrastructure.
  • Own pipeline generation, forecasting, territory design, conversion, rep productivity, hiring, coaching, and deal inspection.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, RevOps, and Customer Success.
  • Coordinate with other regional and ISV teams on account ownership and expansion.

Requirements

  • Have built and led enterprise sales teams across multiple European markets.
  • Have personally helped close substantial, complex B2B technology deals with large regional or multinational customers.
  • Understand how European enterprises buy, including regional differences in procurement, security, data handling, and decision-making.
  • Distinguish a real requirement from a sales objection.
  • Have technical fluency in areas such as cloud infrastructure, AI, networking, developer platforms, or communications.
  • Be able to work directly with FDEs and customer architects to turn a demanding evaluation into a production deployment.
  • Know how to allocate coverage across countries and industries.
  • Be able to recruit strong local talent.
  • Be able to run a distributed organization with a consistent performance standard.
  • Bring rigorous forecasting and genuine pipeline discipline.
  • Possess strong executive presence.
  • Have a record of turning initial deployments into larger, multi-year relationships.
  • Be a builder who still enjoys customers, recruiting, and deals.
  • Be able to produce results without a fully formed regional machine.
