About the Role

Atoms is building Physical AI—real-world robots for industries like food, mining, and transport. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end construction of new developments and modernizations, managing projects from conception to completion, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end construction of new developments, focusing on roadside QSR drive-thrus and EVC hubs, as well as modernizations across the existing real estate portfolio.
  • Develop, manage, and track project schedules and critical path milestones for multiple concurrent schemes.
  • Conduct regular site visits, job walks, and pre-construction due diligence.
  • Troubleshoot constructability, sequencing, and inspection issues on-site.
  • Manage relationships and coordination with external consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Lead the on-site sequencing and scheduling of utility companies for power, water, and telecom connections.
  • Assist with budget planning, cost monitoring, and financial control.
  • Review and process contractor valuations and payment applications.
  • Enforce Health & Safety standards across all active sites.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure works conform to specifications.
  • Provide regular project status, budget, and risk reporting to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate project administration, including site meetings, contract documentation, and handover processes.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction management, ideally within retail, hospitality, roadside QSR, or F&B developments.
  • Professional accreditation: RICS, CIOB, or MAPM membership (or actively working towards chartered status) is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence due to site travel.
  • Strong negotiation skills and sound commercial judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, navigate competing priorities, and deliver to strict deadlines.
  • Pragmatic approach to identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex constructability and operational challenges.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative team player who can take ownership and show initiative.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized, resilient, and comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
