About the Role

Responsibilities

Perform initial triage of MDR alerts.
Participate in shift-based teams performing 24x7 monitoring of customer networks to detect and stop attacks.
Analyze events, alerts, and threat intelligence data during investigations of potential attacks.
Recommend response actions for active attacks.
Implement response actions to stop attackers with supervisor approval.
Review post-investigation escalations for response accuracy, protection actions, recommendations, and grammar before customer communication.
Create and approve orchestration for MDR alerts.
Create playbooks, knowledge objects, and other automations within the MDR SOAR platform.
Review Security Analyst-created orchestration for decision accuracy, sound logic, and proper documentation.
Handle client communications for high and critical investigations, both written and verbal.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the platform, articulating all aspects of the ZTAP console.
Demonstrate mid-level competence within the MDR tool suite (13 vendors).
Verify correct execution of Lead and Principal console protection actions to provide two-person integrity.

Requirements

At least 6 months of SOC tenure or equivalent experience.
Security+ Certification or Equivalent.
Proficiency with EDR, SIEM, and security platforms like Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, and CrowdStrike Falcon.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in high-stress situations.
Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex problems.
Stationary position for extended periods.
Constantly operate a computer.
Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
Ability to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
Ability to make timely decisions.
Ability to complete tasks and perform in situations requiring speed, deadlines, or productivity quotas.
