About the Role

This senior leadership role is responsible for defining and delivering the technology, digital, data, and analytics strategy for Vanguard's Multi-Asset and Adviser Solutions (MAAS) business, partnering with Technology to drive growth and success. The role translates commercial, client, and investment priorities into scalable technology capabilities, data-driven decision-making, and measurable business outcomes, ensuring technology acts as a strategic enabler.

Responsibilities

Partner with leadership to define and execute the technology vision supporting business, proposition, and client objectives.
Shape the long-term technology, data, analytics, and AI strategy for MAAS from a Product Management perspective.
Identify opportunities for digital capabilities, analytics, and AI to drive growth and improve client outcomes.
Represent Product in strategic planning and business leadership activities.
Bring client, adviser, product, and market intelligence into strategic decision-making.
Own the MAAS strategic and product roadmap, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives and technology investments.
Lead the development of enablement capabilities supporting investment solutions, portfolio analytics, and client insight generation.
Ensure delivery against agreed priorities, timelines, and quality standards by working across Vanguard's technology organization.
Maintain an integrated technology portfolio across Multi-Asset Solutions, Model Portfolio Services (MPS), and Portfolio Consulting and Analytics capabilities.
Evaluate emerging technologies with Technology to improve efficiency, insight generation, scalability, and business effectiveness.
Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools, automation, and advanced analytics.
Establish product management standards and operating frameworks across MAAS technology, digital, and analytics teams.
Oversee the MAAS digital product portfolio, ensuring focus on high-value business opportunities.
Approve product strategies, roadmaps, business cases, and success measures.
Partner with Technology, Data, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure secure, well-governed, and scalable solutions.
Drive decisions regarding investment, scaling, consolidation, or retirement of technology capabilities and products.
Define and execute MAAS's data and analytics strategy in alignment with the Global Enterprise strategy.
Lead the development of management information, business intelligence, and advanced analytics capabilities.
Deliver actionable insights across adviser and client intelligence, peer analysis, sales analytics, and pipeline management.
Evolve the function from retrospective reporting to predictive and forward-looking decision support.
Ensure appropriate governance, quality standards, and executive-level communication of analytical outputs.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing product digital and analytics organization.
Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Establish clear operating disciplines, objectives, and performance standards.
Partner with senior leaders across Investments, Technology, Data, Risk, and Compliance to align priorities and deliver strategic outcomes.
Develop strong relationships across Vanguard to ensure technology capabilities support long-term objectives.

Requirements

Significant senior technology leadership experience within asset management, wealth management, or broader financial services.
Experience leading software engineering, product management, data, analytics, or technology delivery organizations.
Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies aligned to business objectives.
Experience delivering complex digital, data, analytics, or investment technology programs.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at executive level.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, agile delivery methodologies, and cloud-based technology platforms.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience supporting multi-asset investing, portfolio construction, adviser solutions, platform businesses, or model portfolio services (preferred).
Understanding of investment products, asset allocation, and adviser servicing models (preferred).
Experience delivering data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital product capabilities (preferred).
Graduate degree (preferred).
