About the Role

Provides the highest level of disinfection and cleaning (terminal cleaning) for operating rooms, OB operating room, Angio procedure room, and APC procedure rooms. Maintains a pleasant and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff, while complying with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a pleasant and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff.
• Complies with all regulatory requirements of JACHO, State Health Department, and other regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment.
• Strictly and consistently follows procedures for the highest levels of disinfection required in operating rooms, scrub and sterile areas, and surrounding non-sterile spaces.
• Is knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety.
• Is able to work with minimal supervision.
• Is able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
• Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
• Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to patients, staff, and the health system.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prefer 2 to 5 years of relative work experience.

Skills

• Cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment
• Following procedures for highest levels of disinfection
• Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety procedures
• Working with minimal supervision
• Organizing cleaning duties and prioritizing work
• Maintaining collaborative working relationships
• Guarding confidentiality of sensitive information
