About the Role
Line Cooks are responsible for preparing food and performing various tasks on the line, contributing to an exceptional dining experience and product for guests. They also ensure kitchen safety and security.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently prepare food items as ordered.
- Exercise food safety and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Proper preparation of meat, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
- Review daily assignments with supervisor.
- Plan for anticipated demand throughout the shift.
- Abide by all state and local health codes.
- Maintain cleanliness and working order of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare and maintain the line and par levels as required by the current menu.
Requirements
- Hold and maintain any required food handling permit or license.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver food products according to recipe.
- Knowledge of the kitchen line and related set-up.
