About the Role
99 Ranch Market is seeking individuals to join their team and contribute to shaping the Asian Supermarket culture within the grocery industry. They are committed to providing the best products and services to the communities they serve and are undergoing an expansion strategy.
Responsibilities
- Set up fresh meat cases and ensure products have the proper signage.
- Maintain an attractive product display to showcase freshness and quality, following company standards for merchandising.
- Keep aisles and common walking areas clean and clear of boxes and debris to prevent injury.
- Unload and break down deliveries; stock freezers with products; refill products to meet customer needs and rotate for freshness.
- Handle expired and recalled products properly, keeping accurate logs in accordance with company, state food safety, and health regulations.
- Arrange stockroom properly; stock shelves with products, and rotate products using the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer any questions or concerns.
- Work with other team members to conduct inventory counts.
- Follow company policy to clean the walk-in cooler and freezer.
- Clean and sanitize display cases, scales, and counters in a safe manner.
- Cut, wrap, and package meat items at customers’ request efficiently and accurately.
- Perform other duties as needed for business requirements.
Requirements
- Previous meat department experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of general meat product lines or similar experience.
- Available to work on weekends and holidays or rotating schedules.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies.
- Requires proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.
