About the Role
99 Ranch Market is seeking individuals to join their team and contribute to shaping the Asian Supermarket culture. This role involves ensuring product quality, maintaining store cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service within the seafood department.
Responsibilities
- Set up fresh seafood cases with proper signage and merchandising to drive sales.
- Keep aisles and common walking areas clean and clear of debris to prevent injury.
- Unload and break down deliveries, refill products, and rotate for freshness.
- Prepare seafood products (skin, clean, cut, fry, steam) upon customer request.
- Operate equipment appropriately and maintain accurate logs per company policies and food safety regulations.
- Stock, ship, and distribute product items to production teams using the FIFO method.
- Monitor cooler/freezer temperatures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Proactively engage with customers and provide excellent service.
- Conduct monthly inventory counts with team members.
- Clean seafood tanks and appliances regularly to maintain product freshness and quality.
- Clean walk-in cooler/freezer, display cases, scales, and counters safely.
- Inspect seafood product quality and remove unmarketable items.
- Accurately and efficiently cut, wrap, and pack items as requested by customers.
- Perform other duties as needed for business requirements.
Requirements
- Previous seafood department experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of general seafood product lines or similar experience.
- Available to work on weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules.
Skills
- Effective communication with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and company policies.
- Ability to inspect and evaluate product quality.
- Proper training and knowledge of equipment operation.
