About the Role
Thatch is changing healthcare benefits by providing companies with a health budget for each employee, allowing personalized coverage choices while offering employers predictable costs. This involves solving complex challenges in healthcare, payments, and technology. The Financial Infrastructure team builds the systems for managing money, including funding, premiums, reimbursements, and card transactions. The Product Manager will shape these financial systems, owning the ledger, money movement, and banking strategy, optimizing financial flows, and developing new financial products in collaboration with Engineering, Finance, and Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and roadmap for Thatch's financial infrastructure, balancing reliability, unit economics, and new product opportunities.
- Build and evolve our unified ledger, creating a trusted system of record for reconciliation, reporting, and treasury operations.
- Make money movement more reliable and scalable, from premium payments and reimbursements to card transactions and banking integrations.
- Improve the economics of how we hold and move funds, including treasury management, yield, and transaction costs.
- Evaluate opportunities in card issuing, credit, and other financial products, making thoughtful decisions about what to build versus partner on.
- Partner with Engineering, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to design systems that are scalable, auditable, and built to meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience building payments, banking, or financial infrastructure products.
- Deep understanding of financial systems, including money movement, ledgers, reconciliation, or banking infrastructure.
- Strong technical fluency, with experience working closely with engineers on APIs, data models, and system design.
- Experience building in regulated environments where reliability, accuracy, and compliance are critical.
- Strong product judgment and financial instincts.
- Understand the business impact of technical decisions and know how to navigate trade-offs.
- A track record of owning complex products end-to-end, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and delivering meaningful results.

About the Company
- Thatch helps companies give every employee a real healthcare budget instead of a one-size-fits-all plan, so people can choose the coverage and care that works for them, and employers get predictable costs they can control.
- We look for people who like solving complex problems, use good judgment, and are comfortable working through ambiguity.
- People here care deeply about our customers, take real responsibility for what gets built, and are driven by doing work that matters.
- We give people ownership and trust them to make good decisions.
- We move quickly, learn from customers, and improve continuously.
- We solve hard problems together, regardless of team or title.
- We care more about building the right thing than following a perfect process.
