About the Role

Manage daily development and pre-production activities for assigned programs within the Sleepwear division. This role partners closely with various internal teams and overseas partners to ensure submissions, approvals, and production milestones remain on schedule. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter with practical apparel production knowledge, strong follow-through, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of pre-production samples and submissions for assigned programs, from initial requests through revisions and approvals.
  • Proactively follow up with internal teams, overseas offices, and customers to obtain required samples and comments and keep timelines on track.
  • Communicate daily with overseas offices on pre-production and production activities, clarifying priorities, tracking outstanding items, and resolving routine issues.
  • Maintain time-and-action calendars, key milestones, and production status reports; flag delays or approval issues that may affect production readiness or delivery.
  • Support basic production material review, including lab dips and trims, and assist with color and quality comments as needed.
  • Check incoming samples and submissions for accuracy and completeness, route them to the appropriate teams, and work with Technical Design on sample needs, fit status, and outstanding approvals.
  • Consolidate and communicate submission comments to overseas teams, confirming that revisions address previous feedback.
  • Follow up on testing, packaging, and customer-specific requirements with the responsible teams; escalate unresolved concerns with relevant details and propose next steps.
  • Maintain accurate and current PLM records, style information, file folders, and approval references, preserving submission history.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing sample packages, including tracking, distribution, and shipment follow-up.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of apparel production experience; sleepwear or knit apparel experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of pre-production and production processes, including sample submissions, approval tracking, time-and-action calendars, and production milestones.
  • Familiarity with basic material review, including lab dips and trims, with a good eye for color, quality, and detail.
  • Basic understanding of textiles and garment construction.
  • Experience communicating with overseas offices or factories and following up with internal teams and customers to move samples, comments, and approvals forward.
  • Walmart Private label experience helpful.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience maintaining PLM or similar production systems; AS400 familiarity is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including maintaining accurate records.
