About the Role
This role will design and implement credit risk strategies for the BNPL product, collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve business goals and ensure the implementation, testing, and monitoring of credit risk strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain data models, algorithms, and reporting systems to support data analysis and decision-making.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Implement credit risk strategies that continue to grow our BNPL products, in a responsible manner.
- Design tests to continuously learn about our customers.
- Align priorities with relevant stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and engineering teams to ensure policies are implemented on time and with appropriate monitoring and controls.
- Take a proactive approach to influence decisions that impact all aspects of the application funnel.
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience managing credit risk for a BNPL or install loan product.
