About the Role
The DES Product Manager leads the Vision of the DES (Data Entry system), ensuring user needs and business objectives are factored into development. They develop a holistic understanding of implementation priorities, write requirements, and support the launch and operation of new functionality. This role also supports the content support department by handling report requests, web functionality, workflow updates, and user training.
Responsibilities
- Administer the DES
- Open development requests for bugs or new features
- Track & Manage open requests to other departments
- Remove any obstacles or hurdles to requests being completed by other departments
- Develop and deliver training and keep DES documentation up to date
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve project success
- Make requests for operational and explorational reporting
- Project management
- Additional as assigned by manager
Requirements
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas etc.)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to cut though noise and find consensus
- Basic knowledge of development processes
- Introductory knowledge of programing (python, java, JavaScript, SQL, or similar)
- Project management software experience (jira preferred)
- Experience with enterprise software (either as developer, administrator, or user)
