About the Role
Join the Parts Department at Riverhead Automall as an Automotive Parts Inventory Specialist. This role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to learn the automotive parts business from the ground up, with potential to advance into a full-time Parts Counter position.
Responsibilities
- Check in daily parts deliveries, verify incoming shipments for accuracy, and properly stock parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department.
- Process customer parts returns, inspect returned merchandise, and return eligible parts to inventory.
- Assist with organizing, preparing, and processing manufacturer obsolescence returns.
- Fill in as a parts delivery driver when regular delivery personnel are unavailable.
- Assist the Parts Department team with daily operations to ensure inventory accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and dealership environment.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts and inventory safely.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for occasional delivery duties.
