About the Role
Residential Elevators is seeking an Elevator Install Mechanic to perform full-time new installations of traction and hydraulic home elevators, overseeing the complete installation process. This role involves installing and testing electrical systems, managing inventory, maintaining a clean workspace, accurate timekeeping, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Responsibilities
- Installation of traction and hydraulic home elevators
- Overseeing the complete installation of residential elevators
- Install and test electrical systems
- Maintain stock and order supplies
- Maintain a clean work area
- Perform proper timekeeping
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Requirements
- Prior elevator installation experience required
- Ability to work independently
- High school diploma or GED
- Able and willing to travel up to 90% (mostly regional travel from Long Island, New York)
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and doing hard physical work
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces
- Know how to safely use hand tools
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Prior experience in construction, electrical, mechanical, or elevator industries is a plus
- Military background is a plus
- Customer-first attitude and willingness to learn is a plus
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a clean driving record for the last 3 years
- Willing to travel
