About the Role

The Front Office Investments Technology team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to deliver the next generation of cloud-native applications for investors. You will join the Portfolio Management Capabilities (PMC) team, working alongside the investment process to build products used daily for portfolio analysis, opportunity evaluation, and decision-making. This is a hands-on, full-lifecycle engineering role with significant ownership, requiring collaboration with subject matter experts to understand problems, shape solutions, and deliver production software.

Responsibilities

Designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting software across the full development lifecycle.
Developing front-end applications using TypeScript, React, and Redux.
Building back-end services using Java, Node.js, and REST APIs.
Developing analytics and data processing components using Python.
Designing data models and working with relational and document databases.
Writing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices.
Operating and monitoring services running in AWS.
Participating in code reviews, design reviews, and agile ceremonies.
Supporting production releases and continuously improving platform reliability.
Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Quants, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Requirements

Strong software engineering skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, and Python.
Experience with React, Redux, and Node.js.
Experience building Java services using frameworks such as Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of software design, API development, and data modelling.
Experience with automated testing and modern testing frameworks.
Ability to take ownership of features from design through production.
