About the Role

As the Head of Cost Estimation (w/m/d), you will play a key role with genuine creative freedom, shaping the bidding strategy of a growing company. You will not only calculate construction projects but also build teams, develop expertise, and make strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

Independent development of tender, order, and additional cost estimations
Building up the cost estimation department of a growing general construction company and developing your own team
Creation of tender documents including work preparation
Determination of quantities for various trades in building construction
Independent preparation of specifications based on functional service descriptions
Independent procurement and evaluation of offers, as well as development of alternative and secondary offers
Independent organization and execution of negotiations
Development and presentation of construction project bids to internal and external stakeholders
Technical and disciplinary leadership of the cost estimation for a new team
Participation in the introduction of RIB iTWO and responsibility for the maintenance and further development of cost estimation data

Requirements

Completed degree, master craftsman, technician, or specialist in construction, architecture, or industrial engineering (construction)
Several years of professional experience in cost estimation (building construction) and work preparation, ideally with initial leadership experience (operational or disciplinary)
Confident use of typical cost estimation tools such as RIB iTWO, ORCA, or NEVARIS is desirable
Strong communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Level C1 German language proficiency
Economic thinking, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
High affinity for AI tools and process optimization
Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, HOAI, and VOB is advantageous
