  • Support clients in making key process and design decisions across project setup, project financial management, costing, billing, expense reporting, approvals, audit controls and accounting treatment.
  • Configure Workday Projects and Expenses Module capabilities in line with agreed requirements, leading practices and a clean, maintainable design.
  • Design and document end-to-end solutions, including business processes, security considerations, validations, calculated fields, reports and integrations required to support Projects and Expenses.
  • Build and demonstrate configurations through prototypes and playback sessions, incorporating client feedback into the solution design.
  • Apply Workday implementation methodology, delivery standards and quality controls across all project activities.
  • Provide clear status updates to the Project Manager and functional leadership, escalating risks, dependencies and decisions where required.
  • Collaborate with Workday Financials, Integration, Data, Reporting, Security and Change Management teams to deliver a cohesive solution.
  • Share Accenture and Workday leading practices, contribute to knowledge assets and participate in Workday certification and update training.
  • Coordinate the implementation of solutions and support change management efforts.

Requirements

  • Relevant consulting or implementation experience in Workday Financial Management, finance transformation, project accounting or expense management.
  • Typically 2-5 years of relevant Workday, cloud ERP or finance transformation experience, gained with a customer or implementation partner.
  • Experience contributing to at least 1-2 end-to-end Workday Financials or comparable cloud ERP implementations, preferably covering Projects and/or Expenses.
  • Experience implementing Workday Projects, Workday Expenses or related Workday Financial Management modules with a certified Workday implementation partner.
  • Hands-on experience gathering requirements, designing business processes, configuring solutions and supporting testing through to deployment.
  • Understanding of project accounting concepts, including project structures, costing, time and expense capture, billing, revenue recognition interfaces and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of expense management processes, including expense items, spend authorisations, expense reports, approvals, corporate card transactions, audit controls and accounting.
