About the Role
Motorola Solutions is seeking a System Manager to provide technical assistance for Motorola ASTRO 25 ELMR system capabilities, including P25 technology, encryption, capacity management, OTAR operations, and dispatch console systems. This role involves primary maintenance and patching support for core equipment, coordination of technical notifications, and support for system integrations and modifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide periodic technical assistance for Motorola ASTRO 25 ELMR system capabilities.
- Provide primary maintenance and patching support for ELMR Zone core equipment.
- Coordinate and complete MSI Technical Notification (MTN) applications.
- Track and assist with system integrations and/or modifications.
- Perform planned maintenance on the system as required.
- Ensure backups of critical servers are sent to and received by Backup and Recovery (BAR) servers.
- Facilitate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) cybersecurity accreditation.
- Participate in cybersecurity planning meetings.
- Provide updates for engineering documents.
- Identify, validate, and track all hardware changes.
- Maintain, program, optimize, troubleshoot, and repair radio repeaters and dispatch/communications consoles.
- Provide first level troubleshooting and case management.
- Provide administrative reports in direct support of contracts.
- Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Certified technician or equivalent qualification in industrial engineering.
- Minimum of 9+ years experience in Cybersecurity and/or IT System Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Motorola Solutions P25 Trunking Network Systems.
- Strong knowledge of communications systems.
- Ability to interface with customer technical representatives and provide technical support.
- Ability to successfully pass background screening and fulfill eligibility criteria for international defense and public safety programs.
- Possession of Security+ and one or more of the following certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP.
- Higher certifications such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP will satisfy this requirement.
- Solid working knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) theory.
- Ability to use MS applications, Google email, & software tools.
- Excellent knowledge & demonstration of hardware and software tools for RF and Networking equipment.
- Ability to receive a security clearance from the U.S. Government and retain required certifications.
- Required to complete standard form 86 questionnaire for national security positions.
- At least 3 years of Radio Frequency (RF) experience.
- At least 2 + years of Networking (Wide and Local Area Networks) experience.
- EU driver's license or authorization to legally drive in the host country.
- Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
- Willing to travel up to 25%.
