About the Role

AI Enablement builds Raisin's internal AI platform, making it easy and safe for every team to use AI in their daily work and products. We provide the shared foundation for governed access to AI models and tools, security controls, and visibility for reliable and cost-effective AI usage. We also shape how Raisin builds software with AI, from AI-assisted coding to agentic workflows. Security and compliance are core to our platform design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the team by hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers.
  • Hold regular 1:1s, set clear expectations, and agree on individual development plans.
  • Give timely feedback, recognize strong performance, and address low performance early.
  • Create an environment of trust, open communication, and continuous learning.
  • Own end-to-end delivery, from planning and estimation through implementation and release.
  • Ensure the platform runs well in production, including on-call, incident handling, and service levels.
  • Spot risks and blockers early and resolve them, or escalate in time with a clear proposal.
  • Translate the AI strategy into quarterly goals and a roadmap.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand needs and decide on platform offerings.
  • Measure adoption, reliability, cost, and impact, and use data for planning and reporting.
  • Manage the cost of AI usage and tooling, including budgets, licenses, vendor relationships, and build-versus-buy decisions.
  • Work with tech leads on architecture and key technical decisions, and stay hands-on in design discussions, reviews, and selected implementation work.
  • Collaborate with security, legal, and compliance colleagues to ensure platform security and compliance.
  • Help engineering teams across Raisin adopt AI through documentation, workshops, and direct support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years leading engineers as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or Team Lead, including hiring and performance management.
  • 7+ years in software engineering overall, with a background in backend, platform, infrastructure, or developer tooling.
  • Experience leading a team that builds for internal customers, such as a platform, developer tooling, or shared services.
  • A track record of delivering production systems that other teams depend on, including ownership of their reliability.
  • A practical understanding of modern AI integration, such as LLM APIs, AI coding assistants, and agentic workflows, deep enough to evaluate technical decisions and challenge the team.
  • Use AI tools in your own work.
  • Clear communication with engineers, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English.
