About the Role
As a Software Engineer II (Fullstack), you will take ownership of features across our Supply Chain Engineering systems, building backend services and integrations that ensure efficient inventory movement. You will design event-driven, Kafka-based workflows and see your code deployed to production, supporting Quick Commerce's growing Non-Food business.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using Golang/Python and frontend applications using React.
- Design and evolve APIs, event-driven workflows, and Kafka-based integrations, including with internal platforms and external Warehouse Management Systems and logistics platforms.
- Partner with Product Managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
- Make technical decisions within your features and contribute to broader architecture and design discussions within the team.
- Own the complete software lifecycle: design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, observability, and production operation.
- Investigate production issues and improve system reliability, performance, resilience, and observability.
Requirements
- Professional experience building and operating production software, with the ability to independently own features from problem understanding through production delivery.
- Strong experience with at least one backend programming language — Golang or Python is particularly relevant, with the willingness to work across our backend stack.
- Experience building modern web applications using React or comparable technologies, integrating them with backend APIs.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, REST APIs, relational databases, and automated testing, with the ability to reason about technical trade-offs.
- Experience or good understanding of distributed/event-driven systems and production infrastructure such as Kafka, AWS, Docker/k8s, CI/CD, and observability.
- A collaborative and proactive engineering mindset, comfortable working across the stack, sharing knowledge, and using modern development practices and AI-assisted tooling responsibly.
