About the Role
Witt Sensoric GmbH, part of the Pepperl+Fuchs Group, is a European leader in safety sensor technology for industrial gate systems. We are seeking a new team member to contribute to our innovative solutions and foster a supportive, collaborative workplace.
Responsibilities
- Determine and monitor material requirements, especially for critical or hard-to-obtain components.
- Plan, initiate, and track orders, monitoring delivery dates and order confirmations.
- Identify supply bottlenecks and risks early and initiate appropriate measures.
- Research, identify, and evaluate new or alternative suppliers and sources.
- Obtain and compare quotes, negotiating prices, delivery times, terms, and other purchasing conditions.
- Manage and evaluate suppliers regarding delivery reliability, quality, dependability, and costs.
- Maintain purchasing and disposition-related master data and planning parameters in the ERP system.
- Clarify price, quantity, delivery, and quality deviations with suppliers and internal departments.
- Coordinate with development, production, and quality management on technical changes, quality issues, and critical supply situations.
- Economically manage inventory and contribute to reducing excess stock and obsolescence risks.
- Develop purchasing and procurement processes as part of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Completed commercial or technical degree or a comparable qualified apprenticeship.
- Professional experience in purchasing, material disposition, or a comparable role in a manufacturing company is advantageous.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of electronic components and parts are desirable.
- Proficient use of ERP systems (e.g., Infor M3) and good knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications.
- Negotiation skills, cost, quality, and deadline awareness, as well as a reliable demeanor towards suppliers.
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working, with good collaboration across departments.
