About the Role

As an engineer on a small team with end-to-end product ownership, you'll own retrieval, tool orchestration, response generation, and production reliability for full-stack AI systems in hospitality operations and guest communication. This role focuses on agent reliability in handling real conversations, messy data, and third-party API failures.

Responsibilities

Design and build the response generation pipeline, including routers, orchestrators, and synthesizers.
Develop knowledge retrieval systems to ground responses in accurate data.
Build tool orchestration layers for reliable multi-step workflows with failure handling.
Create evaluation frameworks to measure quality and prevent regressions.
Implement observability and tracing for agent reasoning.
Design no-code controls for adjusting agent behavior.
Extend the system to support voice, including real-time transcription.
Optimize speed and cost through model routing, caching, and prompt refinement.
Own infrastructure, data pipelines, integrations, and API work.

Requirements

Proven track record shipping production systems used by real users.
Full-stack development capabilities.
Experience with reliable retrieval pipelines.
Pragmatic approach to model selection (frontier, fine-tuned, or simpler).
Strong evaluation discipline, measuring impact on real conversations.
Experience where work directly shapes the product.
