About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technician II - AV to lead large commercial AV installation projects, leveraging expertise in systems like Crestron, BiAmp, Cisco, and Extron.
Responsibilities
- Support, lead, and mentor team members.
- Install and service cabling infrastructure and audio/visual devices, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications/drawings.
- Install audio/visual equipment such as audio and video conferencing, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, public announcement systems, and presentation systems.
- Interact professionally with customers and prospects.
- Ensure adherence to safety and incident reporting procedures.
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork.
- Design systems and layouts.
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
- Lead projects at a site level and manage junior technicians.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret AV functional and construction drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work in various environments, including construction sites and corporate offices.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant tools and equipment.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean abstract.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Able to work with no supervision.
- Willing to start CTS Certification program within three months of employment.
- Willing to work one on-call shift per month.
