About the Role
Bruegger's Bagels is seeking a District Shift Leader to join their team. This role is part of a General Manager development plan, preparing individuals to become a General Manager and take ownership of a bakery. The position offers a unique work-life balance with stores closing by 2 PM.
Responsibilities
- Perform management duties at a home location and support other bakeries in the market.
- Lead by example, act as a brand ambassador, and provide coaching and training.
- Jump into different roles to ensure high-quality food and beverages and maintain a safe, clean store environment.
- Participate in training for restaurant administrative duties including inventory tracking, vendor orders, and cash management.
- Learn P&L analysis, food cost and labor target achievement, scheduling, and recruiting.
- Fill in for General Managers at other locations within the market.
- Accept a permanent General Manager promotion within the market when available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours and weekends (starting as early as 3am).
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license.
- Must complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan, if a valid certification is not already in possession.
