About the Role
Bentley Systems is seeking a Software Engineer II with 4+ years of experience to join the Digital Experience Engineering Portals Team. This role offers the opportunity to work with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and the latest UI technologies, focusing on building robust and reusable React components and backend APIs for customer-facing portals. You will collaborate with a global team to deliver excellent UI and scalable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of front-end and backend software components.
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand design patterns, coding practices, and best approaches to software delivery.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
- Collaborate within an agile development environment using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Demonstrate curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and improve technical and communication skills.
- Mentor junior engineers and help foster a culture of engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong conceptual and practical foundation of core Computer Science concepts including Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Strong experience building applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, & React.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of distributed version control system like git.
- Working experience of Azure DevOps and Agile Development methodologies like SCRUM.
- Understanding of web fundamentals such as HTTP, REST APIs, and JSON.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collaborative and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take feedback.
